Oh wow....where do I begin? I began my last post vowing to update my blog more frequently, and I have failed you. To my loyal readers,I apologize, and I thank you for believing me and for checking back with my blog in good faith that I have updated it. Well then, this post is my little gift to you! :) Well my summer can be summed up in one word..."responsibility". I have learned so much this summer with money management, it's amazing! I work full time for Smokestack Lightening BBQ as a hostess/waitress. I enjoy working there, it's a southern style laid back BBQ restaurant. It's nice to have a job where all I have to do is talk alot, wipe tables, wash windows, answer the phone, and run the register. How do I get to work, you may ask? I recently purchased a 2000 Ford Mustang! It has found a special place in my heart! Well for now I must leave you and get some well needed rest and relaxation. But please check back for more updates and please leave some comments, maybe with some tips on blogging, for all your hardcore bloggers! :)

To my dear and loyal fans who have read this eventhough I have failed to update it, I owe you my deepest appologies! I intend to update you on EVERYTHING that has happend to me! Well, currently I am in my 2nd semester of my freshmen year at Liberty University. I have made many many friends of all shapes, sizes, colors, and accents! I am currently on my Spring break which I am spending at home in good ol Pa! ( *trying not to think of the hott, warm, sunny beach!) :) It's nice spending time with my parents, old friends, and my cat! I have missed all of them so much! I have around 2 months of school left until I return for summer vacation. It will be sad to leave all of my friends, but at least I will be making money! Speaking of making money, I am leaving in a few minutes to go check out a car for the summer! It is a real beauty that all of you are going to be jealous of. It's an 89' Dodge Dynasty! This beast is going to cart me around all summer long to my many jobs! Well, the time has come for me to leave you, but I shall return and update you with pictures and similies!

More to say about Fall Break....

Upon ariving back home early Thursday morning I slept in and spent the day relaxing. I even went on a motorcyle drive around some of my favorite country sights. I even got to drive!! ;) It was such a beautiful day! The sun was warm and there was a cool breeze and the sky was breathtaking! It was just the escape that I needed. Then Derek and I met my parents for dinner at an amazing Greek restaurant outside of Harrisburg called Burgandy's! The food was amazing!! It was such a fun night! I will most deffenitly be going back there sometime! Then I went to visit my subway brother! It was nice to be back in the walmart where I spent many of my summer nights! Then I woke up Friday morning and went shopping around and about with Mom to our favorite stores. So much has changed in our mall. When I walked in I was instantly aware that many of the stores have changed or moved. Well I have some time to spare...I am going to take a much needed nap! lol I never thought that I would look forward to naps, but trust me, they are crucial to surviving college! Fall Break!

I just wanted to update my blog for all my fans out there! I just came back from Fall Break, which was amazing, and am already pressed with assignments. While I was home I went back to my High School's soccer games and watched my old teammates smash an old rival team. I was able to see some old friends and catch up on the current news. I then went to a Selinsgrove vrs. Mifflinburg football game to see some of my other friends. After that we went to Applebee's and pigged out on half priced appetizers. Then on Saturday morning I got my hair styled, many of you won't recognize me. haha I will post some pictures later. Then on Saturday night we had a surprise birthday party for my sister who turned 3o!!! She's old!! haha just kidding sis, you know I love you! That was probably the most enjoyable part of my break, just spending time with my family joking and kidding around with eachother! I really miss having us all together! i love you guys!!! Well it's back to the drawing board!

Well I know I have been neglecting my blog and for that I am truely sorry. College is now in full swing and I must say that time is very limited and precious. I now face multiple assignments that are reaching their due date faster than I can write them down. Life here is pretty much taken up with classes, napping, campus church, small groups, socializing, and facebook! lol Anyway....I now have an address here at Liberty U. If you would like to know, please contact me somehow and I will get it to ya pronto!! This weekend I am going to Richmond to visit the lovely Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Shetterly! lol I am so excited about getting away for the weekend! I really need a mini vacation.

Anyway.....in Liberty news....So far we are undefeated in football! Football games are awesome and so full of energy!! I love them! Switchfoot will be in concert Oct. 13th! The first College for a Weekend is coming up! ( reliving special moments when I was a CFAW) The worlds largets slip-N-slide took place out on "the Hill" last thursday....I came in contact with Devin Olsin ( the infamous youtube movie producer who helped inspire me to come to liberty) and he offered me a spot in his next movie! lol So look for me on youtube!

Well I am going to make a quick wal-mart trip! Love all of ya!!

I would like to dedicate this next blog to two very special people! They are responsible for all of the behind the scenes work in my life and support me with all they've got! They are my parents.

For those of you who attended my graduation you have already heard my speach, amidst all of the sobbing of course. But I would like to just say "Thank you Mom and Dad!"! Mom, I just opened one of your "homesick" presents that you left me and I read your note that you wrote to me. ( by the way, it was the cheddar popcorn, nice choice!!) Thank you so much for being so creative! I really miss chatting with you about life and making our wal-mart runs! Dad, thanks for being my personal bank! lol Thanks for always being the best Dad ever, I really miss you!! Well there is so much more I want to say, unfortunatly the clock is haunting me with the time. So, Mom and Dad, I am going to go to bed! I hope you two have a wonderful day! Play with Jade and Froofie for me! lol I really miss them.

Slip~N~Slide and other Random happenings!

So, it all began when I signed up to play beach volleyball. I made my way over to the sandy courts and my team and I played our hearts out, but much to our dismay we did not win the set. It was still a very enjoyable time and a wonderful way of meeting new people. I was on my way back to my dorm when I stumbled accross the Liberty Men's Soccer team scrimaging eachother! It was so exciting to watch! Soccer is so amazing when played with finesse and character. So much skill is required to exicute a move and make it work. Also watching plays being carried out and watching the development on a more professional manner was just astounding! It reminded me of my High School Soccer Team! I am still a Warrior at heart! ( Go Warriors!!!) I mean, after all, we are the defending ACAA CHAMPIONS!! lol I want to wish my home team a successful season, Girls, make sure you put more grey hairs on Mr. Wesner's head! lol
Anyway...back to Liberty. After the soccer game I walked over the the football stadium to watch our Men's Football Team ( who are picked to dominate the Big South Conference) scrimage eachother. The football games are deffenitly going to be exciting! So I took the long way back to my dorm and explored around for a little bit and when I finally got back to my dorm I heard all of these screams and people laughing. Here it turns out there was a slip and slide started right beside my dorm! There were at least 70 people there just slopping wet and muddy waiting in line to run and slide on the giant slippy tarp they lathered up in dish soap. ( Andrea, if you are reading this, this is the point in time when i hung up the phone with you) I put down my stuff, took off my shoes, and dove in head first. It was Awesome!! I just loved the randomness of it! Sorry, but I did not take any pictures of the event, but believe me, I was covered head to toe in mud! It was right then that I would have given anything for Mom to walk into my dorm room saying " Can I do some laundry for you, Dollie?". Ha ha..thats all for now folks! I miss all of my friends and family so badly! I wish there was a way to all live in the same area. Tonight I am going to the Thomas Road Baptist Church wednesday night service which is very well known as being one of the most active and interesting church services at Liberty!! Today was our first day of freshmen seminar and we all had to go to a class. This class is designed to prepare us for our upcoming classes at Liberty. So to properly prepare us they assigned all of this homework for us to finish before tomorrow's class. Soooo..... I better get started!!

My First Blog!!

Welcome everyone to my official blog site! For those of you who don't know me my name is Lanisa and I am a freshmen at Liberty University majoring in Communications! Today is my first whole day on campus, and so far it has been wonderful! I went to bed last night on my top bunk and layed down on a beautiful layer of love! I need to describe my bed to you! First there is a mattress pad, but not just any ol mattress pad. This is a special fluffy comfort layer of fluff! It feels like I am sleeping on a cloud! then there are the most adorable sheets that come with it, and the comforter is so big and warm! That's not all! Then there is a huge body pillow lining the wall, and another regular pillow against the other wall, then to top it all off there is a small strawberry blue pillow as decoration! So I have the most wonderful bed to sleep in! Thanks Mom and Dad again for everything! So I moved into my dorm yesterday. Let me just say that my Dad is a beast! He made at least 10 trips from my room to the dorm in 100 degree heat! Plus, when everything was all said and done he carried my mini fridge all the way from my car to my room! Wow! Thank you Dad so much for all of your hard work yesterday! Mom, thank you so much for helping me find a place for everything in my room! Thank you also for all the vitamins you gave me, I promise you that I will be faithful in taking them!
So now I am all settled in and i have so much to think about. I have been looking at my class schedule and have been memorizing all the places to go! Every night this week they are having activities to serve as ice breakers for all of the new students. One of them happens to be beach volleyball tournaments! I am most deffenitly going to participate! I love volleyball! One of the hardest things to get used to at college is being back on the bottom of the food chain! It is so hard to drop down from being a Big and Bad High School Senior to being a measily Fresh Meat Freshmen! It deffenilty will take some getting used to!
My roommate and I seem to be getting along nicely! She is from California, so we are having fun talking about good ol cali! Please remember that you can always commnent! For now I am going to go, but I will try my hardest to keep this updated! I plan on posting pictures soon!
